Identification method of capsules
Leave a message
For the identification of whether a capsule is a toxic capsule, you can refer to the following methods to determine:
1. The quality of capsules made from industrial gelatin is relatively poor and brittle. Some capsules shatter upon pinching or upon opening.
2. The brighter the color of the capsule, the more attention should be paid. Because edible gelatin is transparent or white, with few impurities and is pure. While industrial gelatin has many impurities, manufacturers will add more essence, dyes and colorants to cover up the impurities.
3. Generally speaking, the process of making capsules using industrial gelatin is not as advanced as the production process of professional pharmaceutical capsules, so the fit between the two mouths of the capsules is not high. If it is found that the capsule mouth is easily loose and easily unscrewed, then the possibility that the capsule is made of industrial gelatin is relatively high.
Make the following detailed judgments
View appearance
1. The brighter the color of the capsule, the more attention should be paid. Because the pharmaceutical gelatin has few impurities and is pure, while the "problem capsule" has many impurities, the manufacturer will add more essence, dyes and colorants to cover up the impurities.
2. The qualified capsule should have a smooth body, uniform color, flat incision, no deformation, no moisture absorption, and no odor.
Check brittleness
The quality of capsules made from industrial gelatin is generally poor and relatively brittle. Some capsules shatter upon pinching or upon opening. Qualified capsules should be hard and elastic empty capsules.
Check the tightness
1. Generally speaking, the production process and equipment of manufacturers of "problem capsules" are relatively backward, so the fit of the body cap of the produced capsules is not high. If the capsule mouth is easily loose, easily unscrewed, or the body cap is bonded, deformed, or broken, then the possibility of this capsule being a "problem capsule" is relatively high.
2. Simple experiment:
Separate the body cap of the capsule, fill the capsule body with powder, then fit and lock the cap and body together, and drop it directly onto a 2cm thick wooden board at a height of 1m. There should be no powder leakage, otherwise it may be a "problem capsule".
