The Production Process Of Plant Hollow Capsules.

The production process of plant hollow capsules mainly involves a series of delicate steps, aiming to produce high-quality, low water content, and stable drug dissolution capsules. The following is a typical process for making plant hollow capsules:

1, Raw material preparation

Main raw materials: cellulose, such as hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose, methyl cellulose or hydroxyethyl cellulose, etc. These raw materials can be mixed and used as needed to achieve the desired viscosity and performance.

Auxiliary materials: Pharmaceutical grade or food grade pigments, as well as plasticizers, nanoparticles, and other auxiliary materials can be added as needed to improve the appearance and performance of the capsule.

2, Preparation of adhesive solution

Weighing: Weigh an appropriate amount of cellulose by mass.

Dissolve: Add the weighed cellulose into purified water at 75 ℃ or above, stir until the cellulose is completely dissolved, and form a cellulose gel solution. During the mixing process, the mixing speed and temperature should be controlled to ensure the quality and stability of the adhesive solution.

3, Dipping and shaping

Dipping glue: Transfer the prepared glue solution to the glue tank of the fully automatic capsule production line and perform the dipping operation at room temperature. After dipping an appropriate amount of glue into the mold, a preliminary capsule shape is formed.

Drying and shaping: After dipping in glue, the mold runs to the upper platform of the fully automatic capsule production line and uses compressed air to dry and shape the capsules. In this step, the pressure and flow rate of the compressed air, as well as the drying time, are controlled to ensure that the capsules can be quickly and uniformly shaped.

4, Subsequent processing

Fine drying: After shaping, further fine drying treatment is carried out on the capsules to reduce their moisture content and improve stability. The drying temperature is usually controlled between 30~50 ℃.

Demoulding, cutting, and fitting: After drying, the capsule is removed from the mold and cut and fitted to form a complete plant hollow capsule.

5, Quality control

Throughout the entire production process, strict quality control is required for raw materials, adhesives, semi-finished products, and finished products to ensure the quality and safety of the final product.

Evaluate the performance and stability of capsules by detecting their moisture content, appearance, size, hardness, and conducting drug dissolution tests.

Therefore, we can summarize the advantages of plant hollow capsules from this:

No need of gel agent: the production process does not need to add gel agent, reducing the production cost and complexity.

Low molding temperature: Drying and shaping through compressed air reduces the molding control temperature, which is beneficial for energy conservation and environmental protection.

Low moisture content: Fine drying treatment ensures a low moisture content in the capsules, improving their stability and drug dissolution performance.

Wide application range: The produced plant hollow capsules have a wide range of applications and can be used for packaging and delivery systems of various drugs.
